Quick Update

5/7/2010

This is just a quick post to update all of you on how things are going.  It's been a crazy week, full of ups and downs, but God has definitely been working throughout!

As you know from our last post, we signed a contract on our house on Friday, April 30th.  On Monday evening my realtor called to tell us that our buyers terminated their contract.  We were very disappointed, but continued to work on last minute preparations for leaving, hoping for another buyer to come quickly!

On Wednesday night at 8:30pm he called back...our buyers wanted our house after all!  Apparently after looking around for a day or so, they changed their minds :)  We're hoping this will be the last time they do that!

Today we had our last Uganda team meeting and BOUGHT OUR TICKETS!! That's right...one-way, non-refundable tickets to Uganda.  We were even more excited when we found out it wouldn't cost us $12,000 as we had originally thought, but only HALF of that!  What a blessing for our family!

God has been so good to us and continues to show us that His plans will be fulfilled.  We are especially thankful for our team and the unity we have experienced with them.  We are looking forward to community life with them in Uganda :)

Please pray for our team members, Cody and Michaela, as they also need to sell their house before leaving.  We appreciate your prayers and emails so much!  You are a vital part of our team!!

What an awesome update! I still would love to hear about the "new" house you found your family as well. Yay for house contract! God is sooo good.
