As we have mentioned before, God is so faithful! When we left Colorado we had no idea if and when we would be buying a car for Karamoja. Support money had slowed to a trickle, vehicles were hard to find from this side of the globe, and time was running out.
Then, things started looking up. Friends began to bless us abundantly, and a friend who is also moving to Uganda put us in touch with a family selling a reliable car. We have been in contact with the sellers, telling them we will gladly take it off their hands! This was another lesson in trusting God. It seems that he is leading us along, teaching us daily what it means to walk by faith. We were unsure about buying a car because budgeting for household setup and travel in Uganda is difficult to estimate. Would we have enough left over? Our tendency is always to hoard our money and save for tomorrow to make sure we will have what we need. Yet God has called us to walk by faith daily, to trust him to meet each need as it comes. This doesn't mean we don't plan for tomorrow, but often we plan so much that we forget any and all dependence on him. I am so thankful for a God that meets us where we are and daily leads us to a closer dependence on him. Not to mention meeting all of our needs :) (Thank you to our wonderful friends who have been such a blessing to us in a multitude of ways! I wish words could express how much each of you mean to us! Thank you for allowing God to use you to bless our family!)

Please notice what side of the car the steering wheel is on. Back to learning about driving on the wrong, I mean left, side of the road.
