I'm writing tonight from a comfortable armchair in a rambling old farmhouse in the middle of Oklahoma. We are on the second home of our journey and are already amazed at the hospitality of our friends. It's wonderful to have friends that actually want us to visit. I love to have visitors but don't always expect others to feel the same way. After all, there are six of us...
I can't believe that we only have four weeks until we leave the country. Time is getting short and, thankfully, so is our to-do list. Although we haven't bought everything we need yet, we are just a few thousand short of our budget for up-front costs, including a car! A friend put us in touch with a missionary family leaving Uganda who have an affordable car for sale that we are interested in buying. Once again, we're excited to see what God is going to do! Monthly support is coming along well also with probably 75% raised so far. Thanks to all of you who have committed to sponsoring us or have already given us up-front money. We have been so blessed and pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the body of Christ. Our house sale is also going well, moving along at a slow but steady pace. We are set to close on June 23rd but are hoping for things to happen a bit faster than that. Well....I'm feeling tired and ready to go to bed. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We love you all and already miss home. Thank you for the daily encouragement and tremendous support you have given us. - kristi -
