Laborers Needed!
If you feel God calling you to Karamoja, please contact us! There are many needs, and we are barely scratching the surface with this list.
Church Planter/Discipler
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers." Luke 10:2b
This is true of Karamoja! The fields are white for harvest, but we can only do so much. We are in desperate need of church planters and disciplers. The Karimojong people are very open to the gospel, but most of them can't read and have never heard what the Bible says. We need people who can build relationships and model for their friends what it means to follow Jesus.
Literacy Teacher
We will be moving to the village of Kacheri soon, about an hour from Kotido, and will be starting a literacy school for church leaders. Our plan right now is to bring people to the school for one week at a time and teach them the Ngakarimojong alphabet (which is phonetic) and a few Bible stories. At the end of the week we will send them home with a short story book for each Bible story they learned in order to practice. They will come once a month for six months. We are in need of someone who can help us with developing a curriculum and teaching.
Business Project Manager
We are looking for a single person or couple to be able to aid in different projects for the widows and vulnerable we work with. Our goal is to help make them self-sufficient through teaching them a trade. Currently paper making is in order. The leather is in process, and we need someone to not only help complete these projects but to also create more ideas that will create income and jobs for people. This person will need to be able to travel to other parts of Uganda and be a self-starter.
Medical Personnel
We would welcome anyone who is willing to help with the medical needs we face day to day. This person must know the basics in medical care and also must be knowledgable in giving IV's.
Family Assistants
The Williams and family is looking for someone to live with them and help with the day to day needs. These include: answering and meeting the needs of the people that come to the gate, cooking, cleaning, companionship, holding babies, and other various needs.
